Medea came to the ACTION Project at IARC in January 2026. Working under Katie Spellman, Kay McMonigal and Emily Sousa, Medea is involved with scientific communications, education and workforce development. It is working on an undergraduate degree in marine sciences with an oceanography concentration and a minor in mathematics with the goal of becoming a physical oceanographer. This is the start of Medea’s second career, following its work in NYC as a professional multi-disciplinary performer in modern dance, contortion, handbalancing and aerial.
