IARC will be participating in this year’s Arctic Research Open House on May 19 from 4-7 p.m. on the UAF campus. This year’s theme is “it’s an inspiring day in the neighborhood.”

Walk across UAFs upper campus to visit over a dozen UAF research groups and colleges and learn about science that’s happening in the Fairbanks “neighborhood.” Each open house stop will explore ways that UAF research brings value to the Fairbanks economy, improves community well-being and supports the local environment. 

Open house activities are fun, interactive and bring you face-to-face with researchers in physical, biological and social science. To celebrate Fairbanks families and the end of the school year, the UAF Vice Chancellor for Research will host an ice cream social as one of the stops along the open house. 

The event is free and attendees who park on upper campus will not be cited.
