Areas of Expertise:
Victoria is an Iñupiaq Inuit wildlife and conservation biologist who has lived and worked across the Arctic to explore how Indigenous peoples fundamentally shape Arctic biodiversity conservation, from research, to management, to monitoring of environmental processes. She approaches research in a way that challenges the colonial legacy of conservation and instead promotes partnerships with Indigenous communities, knowledge, and governance to develop meaningful initiatives.
