NABOS Data

NABOS logo.

The NABOS program has been amassing data about Arctic Ocean processes since 2013. Data are available for download and analysis.

A wide, horizontal photograph showing a group of researchers working on a vast, flat expanse of snow and ice. Three of the individuals wear bright red polar survival suits, while one man in the center wears black winter gear and a beanie. On the left, two researchers crouch near a metal mesh cage suspended from a crane cable, organizing silver equipment cases on a pallet. In the center, a man stands next to a gas-powered generator unit. On the right, another researcher operates a large mechanical ice auger with a massive metal drill bit positioned vertically to bore into the ice. Red marker flags are planted in the snow behind the equipment, and several silver storage trunks sit nearby on the right.
