Virtual tour: StoryMap on insights from coastal Arctic Indigenous observers
Aug 17, 2022 at 11:00 am – 12:00 pm
IARC’s Alaska Arctic Observatory & Knowledge Hub is hosting the launch of a new StoryMap sharing ‘Insights from Coastal Arctic Indigenous observers.’ The online product was expertly curated by Roberta Tuurraq Glenn as part of her M.S. degree at UAF (with special thanks also to Mike DeLue for technical support). This StoryMap aims to summarize recent themes in Arctic observing from five Alaska communities which are part of the AAOKH. Recent themes include warmer temperatures, changing winds, coastal storms, sea ice change and subsistence changes.
Join Glenn and the AAOKH team for a virtual tour and presentation about this new StoryMap. This event is being hosted by the Alaska Tribal Resilience Learning Network.
Register to join on Zoom, watch on Facebook, or call-in details on flyer.
