Julia Andreasen is an atmospheric scientist and postdoctoral researcher. Her work investigates moisture transport and extreme precipitation events over Greenland, with a broader interest in how large-scale atmospheric processes shape polar climate variability. Before joining IARC, she studied the climatology of ice rises along the coast of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet, combining radar observations, reanalysis datasets, and GIS. In addition to her research, Julia is passionate about the broader communication of science and works to build connections between research and communities whenever possible.
