Kate Schaberg joined UAF Cooperative Extension Service in 2016 and works to bring youth development opportunities to the Kodiak Archipelago as a part of the Alaska 4-H program. She is especially interested in place-based education, living sustainably and providing youth with educational opportunities centered around food security, incorporating traditional knowledge from local elders and knowledge holders.She also enjoys integrating community art and service learning projects into her programming.
