I’m a website and user interface designer on the tech and communication teams at IARC, building and managing websites and web applications that communicate our work and focus on a good user experience.
I completed a BS in Business Communications (1988) at Southern New Hampshire University and moved to Fairbanks, where I joined UAF University Relations in 1996 as a graphic designer. During my almost 20 years in Fairbanks with UAF, I completed an MSc in Natural Resource Management (2004) in which I studied the growth and ecology of interior Alaska black spruce.
I also worked for the North Pacific Research Board and the Alaska Ocean Observing System in Anchorage to help communicate their ocean science research in print and online.
I have continued to work for UAF and support climate research and communication from my home in California since 2013. Unpaid activities include trail running, paddleboarding, sailing, skiing, and long desert walks with my husband Mike. My pie-from-scratch technique is unstoppable.
