August 13- Docked in Arkhangelsk

We are docked in Arkhangelsk and if you notice Fairbanks and Arkhangelsk are almost the same latitude. We woke up to a downpour of rain and wind this morning. We are hanging out waiting for the Korean, German and Russian teams to arrive and load their equipment. Again, due to inclement weather, we will not be able to leave today. The estimated departure time is tomorrow, Tuesday, at 20:00 (8:00 pm).

The Russian crew are busy loading more food and drink for the cruise. While we were waiting I was fortunate to see the ship’s starboard (right side) crane loading pallets into the hold on the ship.

Breakfast: meat, cheese, bread and butter

Lunch: split pea soup, stuffed green peppers, and tomatoes

Tea Time: yogurt

Dinner: pork stew and salad

Fairbanks-Arkhangelsk
